On April 16th, the Women Empowerment Council organized a Social Event at the Grand Brasserie Private Room of the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund hosted by WEC Member Chayora.
Council Member Representatives and their partners were invited to attend, including Steven Cao (Executive Director, China, Chayora), Rajat Agarwal (Corporate VP, Henkel), Michael Zhu (Managing Director, China, HPE), Allan Gabor (President, Managing Director of PM China, Merck), and Wayne Chang (CFO China, NBA); as well as distinguished guests from the US Consulate in Shanghai, Consul General James Heller and Pauline Kao.
The Women Empowerment Council Social Event Series is one of our newest projects, aiming to bring together executives, leaders, DNI experts, and other key stakeholders through social events. While gender equality and women empowerment are serious topics that require strategic thought and dedicated action, it is also important to celebrate successes. These social events provide the opportunity to engage and network with likeminded leaders in less formal settings where new connections can be made and energy for the collective cause can be revitalized.
